Keeping Your Pup Entertained!

Keeping Your Pup Entertained!

Being cooped up at home is tough... and while our fluffy friends may be enjoying us all to themselves, keeping them busy, entertained, and out of trouble can start to feel like a second job! We know the struggle, which is why we are here to share a few helpful tips on how to keep both you and your dog entertained through these crazy times!

Search & Sniff

Keep your pooch busy with this simple and rewarding hide & seek. All you need is some treats and a few good hiding places for them. Your dog will spend some time sniffing the house for the treats and you can take your zoom calls without a worry!

Pupsicles

A frozen treat can go a long way. Our favorite is peanut butter treat pops! They are super easy to make, only require some peanut butter, your dog’s favorite treats and an ice-cube tray. Be sure to check out our 5-minute pupsicle recipe here!

Popping Bubbles

Now this one may sound a bit crazy.. but hang in there because if there is one way to exhaust your pup and give you some entertainment this is it. Grab some bubble mix (the ones made for children are nontoxic and dog safe) blow some bubbles and watch your dog’s fascination as he chases and pops them around the room! It is all the fun of fetch, without the danger of playing inside. Plus, it’s sure to give you and your family a good laugh!

Buy a New Toy or Rotate Them

One of the things that dogs love about our Give a Dog a Bone! is that they come in completely unique scents that most pups have never experienced in a dog toy before, such as cashew or pistachio. To keep your dog entertained for hours, try picking out two or three different flavors and switching which one he gets to play with each day. Your dog will stay preoccupied much longer and give you more freedom to work from home uninterrupted!

An Impressive Trick

We have all seen videos online for dogs doing crazy impressive tricks. But who has the time to teach their dog a handstand, to jump through a hoop, or balance a soccer ball on their nose? Well if there ever was a time to spend a Sunday afternoon with a bag full of treats and a dog ready to learn something new now is that time!

I don’t know about you, but we sure are glad to have our pups while stuck at home! We hope these ideas get you inspired, and if you have any of your own, let us know!
